About JWA

JWA Derby is a community-led organisation committed to supporting and enhancing the wellbeing of the Shia community across Derby and the wider East Midlands. Our work is rooted in the principles of compassion, social responsibility, and service, inspired by the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (AS).

We deliver a range of structured programmes and services, including educational initiatives for children and adults, community engagement activities, and welfare support for vulnerable individuals and families. Our aim is to promote social cohesion, strengthen community ties, and provide practical assistance to those in need, regardless of background.

Through a values-driven approach, we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment that empowers individuals, fosters dignity, and contributes positively to the wider society.
